PRM Assistance

We assist People with Reduced Mobility at 9 airports in Spain. At departure, we assist during the check-in and boarding process, from lifting baggage out of their vehicle, check-in and luggage registration, passing through security and immigration, help access toilet and airport facilities to boarding the aircraft with lift-on if required. Upon arrival, passengers are met at the aircraft and will be assisted to disembark with or without lifting equipment, to claim their baggage and proceed to landside

Covid-19 Passenger Control Services

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed our lives in many ways and Aena had to adapt its services to these new circumstances. Thanks to Mitie’s proven capability to mobilise resources in a minimum amount of time, Aena trusted us with the primary control service of all passengers upon their arrival at the airport.

We provide information to passengers, manage queue lines and we check all passengers’ body temperature and any Covid-19 related documents. We go the extra mile, every day.

ePassport Control Assistance

Our team is responsible for managing queue lines and for motivating passengers to use the ePassport gates rather than the traditional checkpoints. We ensure all necessary resources are in place to help all passengers clear passport control successfully without unnecessary delays. Special care is given to People with Reduced Mobility and families and guarantee a pleasant experience and we speed up the process for passengers with urgent flight connections.

Our team speaks multiple languages and has received and is highly trained in customer attention and airport security.

Terminal cleaning

We have been delivering cleaning services to Aena since 1992. This is the result of our proven capability and continuous drive for innovation and improvement. In fact, we were the first Spanish company to develop a specific cleaning methodology and management procedure for airports.

We are proud to say that we’ve contributed to Aena’s success in winning the ‘Best Airport Group Covid-19 Excellence’ award at the 2022 World Airport Awards, awarded by prestigious airport research and audit consultancy Skytrax, which consults with passengers around the world at more than 50 airports. The airports in the Aena network have been selected for their high hygiene and safety standards in their facilities during the pandemic.

Baggage Trolley Management

Our job is to ensure baggage trolleys are collected and redistributed at the pick-up points located conveniently around the airport. We also guarantee that the baggage trolleys are properly cleaned and maintained.

VIP Lounge Cleaning

Our integrated approach of Aena’s VIP lounges includes services such as cleaning and laundry. We look after passengers that have decided to leave the noise, crowds and chaos of the airport behind and we make sure they get some peace and comfort in a clean environment before their flight.
