LEAN Accomplishments:

  • Simplified processes
  • Improved client experience
  • Reduction in operating costs
  • Improved satisfaction from the client for shared savings
  • Improved contract profitability

LiveSafe

At Mitie, safety is our number one priority and our goal is simple… zero harm – to our people, our customers, and to members of the public passing through the facilities we take care of. This means workplaces where nobody gets hurt, ever. It means making sure that everyone goes home to their families at the end of each shift or working day without having suffered or caused harm in any way.

To achieve this, we’ve developed a set of LiveSafe Rules. We owe it to ourselves, our families our colleagues and our clients to put the LiveSafe rules into practice every single day of our working lives, wherever we are, and in whatever we do.

At Mitie, we have five key principles which we believe in:

  1. All injuries and occupational illnesses are preventable
  2. Everyone is responsible for safety
  3. Safety is a condition of employment
  4. Everyone has the right to challenge anyone
  5. Never think you can’t keep improving

These are complemented by:

  • Service specific risk assessments and method statements for every activity
  • Induction training
  • Toolbox talks/refresher training to reiterate key safety measures and behaviours
  • Safety Audits and reports
